Thuan NGUYEN, PhD

Registered migration agent Thuan Nguyen has lived, studied, and worked in Australia for 43 years. He graduated from Monash University in 1987 and went on to study postgraduate degrees at Victoria University and Melbourne University. He completed a Graduate Certificate in Immigration Law and Practice (VU) in 2014 and a Graduate Certificate of Education Research (Monash) in 2018. He completed his doctoral degree at Monash University in 2024, conducting research on graduate employability in the context of information technology (IT) and internationalisation of education in Australia.

Thuan has held senior positions during his professional career, including project manager at Westpac Bank, lecturer at Victoria University, and Information Technology Manager at Etihad Stadium Melbourne.

​

Thuan is the business manager of the registered practice TND Migration Consulting. According to Australia's immigration law, individuals must be registered to provide immigration assistance or risk prosecution.

 

By understanding the current immigration law (Migration Act and Regulations) and the Department's policies, and using professional English, Thuan spends time writing submissions that provide the Department of Home Affairs and the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) with a detailed view and complete customer profile. This is an important factor in helping clients secure visas.

Business partner Thuy Nguyen has lived in Melbourne for over 44 years.  She graduated from Monash University in 1989.  Previously Thuy enjoyed working at RMIT as a Research Analyst, performing statistical analyses for academic research projects  

 

Thuy previously worked with a number of Victorian Government Departments/Agencies in Victoria including the Department of Justice and Department of Human Services.  Thuy knows the rights of consumers and how to protect them

At TND Migration, Thuy enjoys meeting and working with clients.  She pays a lot of attention to the accuracy of information when completing forms with clients.  She encourages clients to provide accurate and adequate information to the Department to help achieve the best outcomes for clients' visa applications
